The city established Dine Under the Lights last summer but halted it in November amid a coronavirus case surge.
It returned in March and is expected to run through the summer.
The program was developed in partnership with the Downtown Business Improvement District.
The program involves the closure of 4th Street from Lincoln Ave. to the West End to vehicle traffic Thursday and Friday nights from 5 to 9 p.m.
The program is expected to run through the summer but is subject to change from local health orders.
More than 40 restaurants and bars are participating in the program.
Some restaurants and bars that do not ordinarily open Thursday and Friday evenings will open their doors (or, adjacent sidewalk and street surfaces) just for DUTL.
Customers are advised to check with their local restaurants to confirm that they are participating.
