Marin Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Felon On Weapons Charges
A deputy noticed the butt of a handgun on the floorboard of the suspect's car, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — An enforcement stop early Sunday morning in Kentfield led to the arrest of a felon on suspicion of weapons charges, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies at around 1:20 a.m. pulled over a vehicle traveling westbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at the College Avenue intersection, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies conducted an enforcement stop. The driver was on CDC parole and a registered sex offender. Deputies saw the butt of a handgun on the driver’s floor board. Deputies recovered a fully loaded Glock 26 9mm, a 30 round magazine along with a ski mask. Driver was arrested. pic.twitter.com/rp0EwDI1dj

Deputies identified the driver, as 49-year-old Malcolm Andre Clark, a registered sex offender who lives in Richmond according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies recovered a fully loaded Glock 26 9mm handgun and an extra 30-round magazine along with a ski mask according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Clark was arrested on suspicion being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition among other charges, the Sheriff’s Office said.
