Marin Utility Vault Explosion Probed: Report

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A utility vault explosion Sunday afternoon left about 3,000 San Rafael PG&E customers without power, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

The blast occurred at around 12:15 at the Valero gas station at Third Street and Grand Avenue according to the report. No injuries were reported.

Power was restored before 3:30 p.m. to the affected customers in the downtown and China Camp areas, the report said.
