NICASIO, CA — Spooktacular news for Halloween fans in Marin County: You can still pick your perfect pumpkin at Nicasio Valley Pumpkin Patch this year despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The pumpkin patch, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, is slated to open Oct. 1-31 in Nicasio, a census designated place in Marin County.

Although interactive activities are canceled this year, there will be socially distanced tables for family picnics, a 12-acre field to roam and countless pumpkins to choose from, according to the pumpkin patch's website. San Rafael-based Big Jim's BBQ will have food on weekends, and there will be a daily chance to win a free pumpkin in the patch's costume contest.
