Wednesday, March 10
San Anselmo's Town Council on Tuesday voted down a proposal to the name of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, The Marin Independent Journal reports.
The council in a 3-2 vote joined the municipalities of Larkspur, Ross and Marin County in rejecting a proposal to rename the roadway named after the 16th Century explorer with ties to slave trading among other atrocities.
Thursday, March 11
The Fairfax Town Council announced will hold a joint study session next week with the Climate Action Committee to discuss the drafting of a Climate Action Plan.
The virtual meeting will be held Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Friday, March 12
The San Anselmo Town Council at Tuesday's meeting appointed three new members to its Library Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.
Laurie Nardone, Kathy O'Sullivan and Judy Baldassar were the only applicants for these positions. All three were interviewed.
