Mike and Anne Altman, who own Iron Springs, were happy to hear about being the Readers' Choice winner.

"We are a community-oriented, family-based establishment, so it was nice to see the recognition," said Mike.

The brewery's Give Back Tuesdays, which grew out of Kids Eat Free Tuesday, donates 15 percent of the proceeds every Tuesday to local nonprofits and organizaitons. For the entire month of March, the recipient every Tuesday will be the YES Foundation, which funds arts and physical education programs in the Ross Valley School District.

And while parents are able to enjoy a drink and some delicious food at Iron Springs, Anne pointed out new additions to the kids menu have been popular with the younger set.

The menu, which includes a Niman Ranch burger for your high-end tot, now includes grilled chicken as well and nearly every kids meal has the choice of fries, veggies, or raw cucumber and carrots.

Next week, we'll ask the readers for their favorite place to celebrate St. Paddy's Day. Contest starts Monday morning.
