SAN ANSELMO, CA — Crowdfunding is in bloom in San Anselmo.
Volunteers in this North Bay town aim to hang 24 flower baskets and they've set up a GoFundMe drive to finance the endeavor.
The GoFundMe as of Monday evening had raised more than $7,800 towards its $14,000 goal.
The flower baskets cost around $300 each, and the balance of the funds will be used to pay someone to water them along with person the costs of water cart repairs and fertilizers.

The GoFundMe organizers credited the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce for setting up a non-profit bank account to hold the funds along with the donors.
“This is not an easy time to campaign for the baskets, but we hope that their presence in Town will continue to bring joy to everyone,” they wrote on their GoFundMe page.
