San Anselmo Library Outlines Vision For Gradual Reopening

The library expects to be open one morning a week and will look very different amid coronavirus restrictions when it does eventually open.

SAN ANSELMO, CA — The San Anselmo Public Library hasn’t announced when it will open its doors to visitors, but officials Thursday described what the gradual reopening will look like.

Libraries are allowed to open at 50 percent capacity in the current red tier. The library's capacity is 27 people, meaning around 10 or so patrons and up to four library staff are allowed under current restrictions.

The library expects to be open one morning a week and will look very different amid coronavirus restrictions when it does eventually open.

Library visits will be limited to an unspecified time.

Curbside service will continue.

“Reopening is a balancing act of maintaining the successful curbside program that serves hundreds of people every week with opening our doors for limited hours and serving a fraction of the community,” officials said in a news release.
