San Anselmo Police Log: Aug. 19-20

Friday, Aug. 20

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman on Luna Lane reported that she thought there was an unknown subject on her balcony at 1:59 a.m. Officers responded and determined there was no merit.

Suspicious Circumstances: Multiple residents reported fireworks sounding in the area of Ross Avenue at 2:04 a.m. Officers responded and extinguished a small fire, but were unable to locate the responsible.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident flagged down an officer to report that when she arrived home she found the front door open. Officers checked the premise and found no indication of burglary.

Juveniles: There was a group of loud juveniles in the creek on Lansdale Avenue at 3:21 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A woman on Butterfield Road reported that she received threatening emails, but officers determined the email was just a statement of what happened and no threats were involved.

Animal: A woman reported that a dog had bitten her daughter at Memorial Park at 8:04 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud party on Fern Lane at 10:27 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 19

Accident: There was an accident at Saunders Avenue and Agatha Court at 7:59 a.m. that caused a large traffic jam. The back up was determined to be a semi-truck blocking the road.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:02 a.m. a man was cited and released for driving without a license.

Be on the Lookout: There was a report of a possible DUI driver weaving and crossing over the double yellow line on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:51 a.m. Officers stopped the car and determined that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.

Vandalism: There was a large amount of graffiti on the bus shelter at Tamal Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Suspicious Circumstances: A neighbor on Belle Avenue placed a bag of foul-smelling trash on the sidewalk.

Solicitor: There was a man panhandling on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:40 p.m.
