San Anselmo Police: Unlicensed drivers, DUI, juvenile party

Sunday, Aug. 15
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident came into the San Anselm Police Department at 12:11 a.m. concerned about a juvenile party with alcohol that was taking place that night and that his son planned to attend. He was unsure where the party was located and only had a first name of the juvenile throwing the party.
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that he passed a vehicle at San Anselmo and Oak Knoll Avenues at 12:21 with property in it that he recognized as belonging to a friend who was recently burglarized. Officers located the car, contacted the car owner and coordinated with the sheriff's office regarding the matter

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Woodside Drive heard noises in a neighbor's carport at 1:01 a.m. and say juveniles running down the street. But officers checked the area with negative results.
Disturbing the Peace: Initially, it was reported that a man was beating a woman on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:11 a.m., but then it was stated that she was inside the car and the man was beating on the outside of the car.

Animal: A resident's dog was in the back patio barking on Hillside Avenue at 2:43 p.m. and his neighbor used a high-pressured hose to spray the dog.
Hazard: A manhole cover on Lansdale Avenue was taken off and put back on upside down.
Driving on a Suspended License: During a traffic stop on Center Boulevard at 5:18 p.m., an officer determined that a man was driving with a suspended drivers license. He was cited and released and his vehicle was legally parked for a licensed driver to pick up.
Juvenile: A resident's daughter was refusing to meet at their agreed upon location.
Probation Violation: An intoxicated woman was being argumentation and threw food on the wall on Ross Avenue at 6:53 p.m. Officers responded and she was booked into the county jail for probation violation and resisting arrest.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Canal in San Rafael at 7:02 p.m., a man was determined to be an unlicensed driver. He was issued a citation and released with a notice to appear.

Saturday, Aug. 14
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard received a returned package and found a suspicious substance inside at 10:51 a.m. Officer responded and took the property as evidence and an informational case was taken.
Fire: While on foot around Veterans Plaza at 11:12 a.m., an officer could smell natural gas.
Citizen Assist: A resident reported that her son wrote on a building on Tunstead Avenue the day before and she wanted to speak with someone about paying for or cleaning up the damage. It was found it had been cleaned up by the father and the juvenile was counseled.
Anima: Four chickens were killed on Sais Avenue the night before.
Water Main Break: Water was leaking from the top of the hill on Canyon Road at 2:17 p.m.
Accident: Someone hit a resident's car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, but left the area.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and El Portal in Greenbrae at 5:21 p.m., a man was determined to be driving while unlicensed. He was cited and released on scene and served with a DMV suspension notice. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Petty Theft: A resident reported a theft of cash at Center Boulevard and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:41 p.m.
Vandalism: A group of male juveniles were making noise near a construction site on Tomahawk Drive at 9:37 p.m. They also appeared to be smoking something and prior to the officer's arrival tipped over a port-a-potty and fled the area.
Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop in Novato at 10:14 p.m., a woman was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into the county jail and the car was impounded.
