Shotgun Shooting, Alleged Kidnapping Post-Its and a Forced Cake Sampling
The Fairfax Police blotter for April 4-9 includes a residential burglary, parking "havoc" near White Hill Middle School and stolen bikes.

Tuesday, April 9
Juvenile problem: 12:08 p.m. Marin Town and Country Club on Pastori Avenue. Several juveniles are in the pool area that is supposed to be closed to the public.

Suspicious circumstances: 12:21 p.m. Tutoring and Learning Center on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. A man with slicked back hair and a light blue shirt came to the door and offered a free cake for tasting. RP (reporting person) declined and subject insisted. Subject then walked out to a van with decals of a cake company. RP found it suspicious that the subject insisted on offering free cake door to door.
Juvenile problem: 3:36 p.m. Peri Park on Park Road. Report of a juvenile digging up the ground making a ramp for a bicycle. Responsibles were advised of complaint.

Monday, April 8
Tree down: 1:39 a.m. Forrest Avenue. Tree branch fell on to house, damaging kitchen ceiling.
Suspicious circumstances: 10:59 a.m. Fairfax Park on Bolinas Road and Elsie. In the park, behind the redwoods by the trash receptacles, there are three Post-its alleging a kidnapping and location of the victim. RP wasn’t sure if it may be a hoax. Disposition: unfounded.
Public intoxication: 7:05 p.m. Porteous Avenue. RP reports an extremely intoxicated male. Disposition: arrest made.
Miscellaneous service: 12:37 p.m. Landsdale Avenue. Complaint of a shopping cart with tarps and a bucket about a block to a block and a half down Lansdale from Pastori. RP thinks it is the beginning of a homeless encampment, since it has been there awhile. Disposition: service provided.
Sunday, April 7
Battery: 3:36 p.m. Fairfax Police Department on Bolinas Road. Disturbance in the police lobby. A citation was issued.
Stolen bike: 6:03 p.m. Fairfax Theatre on Broadway. Bicycle theft.
Stolen bike: 10:40 p.m. Good Earth Natural Foods on Center Blvd. Bicycle theft.
Saturday, April 6
Drug violation: 2:54 a.m. Manor School, Oak Manor Drive. Report of two to three subjects walking back and forth between a portable building and storage building. Disposition: arrest made.
Vandalism: 11:24 a.m. Broadway Hair Design on Broadway. RP said her business’ wall was tagged last night. She would like documentation.
Domestic violence: 12:01 p.m. Cascade Drive. RP said his estranged wife just attacked him and their son. Disposition: arrest made.
Assist outside agency: 6:33 p.m. Downtown on Bolinas Road and Broadway. Subjects are shooting shotguns in the open space, just drove past the police department.
Friday, April 5
Assist: 6:45 a.m. Sonoma County Sheriff’s office reported they are attempted to stop a stolen vehicle. Disposition: outside assist.
Accident: 7:20 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Non injury, two vehicles. White Ford Ranger vs. blue Lexus. Disposition: repot taken.
Animal complaint: 9:27 p.m. Officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Blvd (100 block). Numerous people reporting a cat hit by a car in the westbound lane. Unknown if still alive. Officer responded and found the cat had died. A passer-by had carried the cat to the sidewalk. Humane Society was notified for pick-up tomorrow.
Dead body: 10:51 p.m. Care Meridian on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Somebody is not breathing. CPR in process. Disposition: report taken.
Thursday, April 4
Burglary: 6:12 p.m. San Gabriel Drive. Unknown subjects broke into his house today and stole several items.
Traffic complaint: 6:49 p.m. Glen Drive. Four anonymous reporting people were complaining of an event at White Hill Middle School tonight and people are parking in the RP’s driveway, moving the cones that have been put out to designate lanes, parking in front of a fire hydrant, blocking a fire gate and in general creating “havoc” in the area.
Vehicle accident: 10:41 p.m. Bolinas Road. RP said he saw a car go off the cliff. Officers determined a car had run off the roadway into a ditch. There were no injuries.
