Structure and Function: Explore Native Flowers & Pollinators through Botanical Illustration

Need an excuse to stop and smell the flowers? Look no further!

Date/Time: Wednesday April 20th, Noon - 3pm

Location: Lagunitas Picnic Area - End of Sky Oaks Rd, Fairfax, CA 94930

Drop in to discuss native wildflowers and the pollinators that they aim to attract! We will talk about the different techniques and growth patterns that our very own native plants use to seduce, manipulate and advertise to pollinators. Take a lesson on how to draw native flowers anatomically correctly. Visit local flowers and try your hand at field sketching using your newly learned techniques. In addition, folks can make and take home a paper pot planted with native lupine seeds. Fun for all ages! Meeting location is the Lake Lagunitas parking lot. If raining, we meet at the Sky Oaks Ranger Station. This workshop is part of CA Native Plant Week.
