“Dive into fun at Tiburon's Friday Night on Main Street, from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 27, and meet Olympic and international elite swimmers who will compete on Sunday in the world's fastest open-water competition; the RCP Tiburon Mile.”

Saturday

MMWD Habitat Restoration Matt Davis

9 a.m., Mt. Tamalpais 

"Help restore shrinking grassland and chaparral habitat by removing small Douglas-fir trees along the Matt Davis Trail. Meet at 9am at the Bootjack parking lot on Panoramic Hwy above Mill Valley. Raffle prizes courtesy of REI. Wear close-toed shoes and long pants and dress for variable weather. Bring your lunch, a reusable water bottle and lots of friends. MMWD provides breakfast snacks, water, tools and inspiration."

9 a.m., Ross

“UC Marin Master Gardeners and The Garden Conservancy will be hosting a community education program on how to successfully incorporate fruits and vegetables into your garden.  This event will take place at Marin Art and Garden Center.”

“The Fourth Annual Lawn Party will be held on Saturday, September 28 on the lawn at St. Vincent’s in San Rafael.  An annual benefit for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Higher Ground, a project that helps wounded veterans, The Lawn Party is an outdoor gala featuring Marin’s favorite local eateries and wines along with music from Lyin’ I’s, the Bay Area’s Eagles tribute band.”

Add even more fun to Country Fair Day, Sunday, September 29 from 9:00 to 10:30am on the Town lawn. Please come and make a scarecrow while supplies last.”
