GREAT DEED: Neva won a Building Community Award for demonstrating respect, responsibility and kindness. Only three awards are handed out each quarter!
Neva's teacher, Ms. Orendorff, said that Neva is kind to everyone, always makes sure other people have someone to play with, and never fails to help out her classmates and teacher. She also enjoys working in the school garden in her free time.
KEY TO AWESOMENESS: Neva, who lives in San Geronimo, said they've been learning about kindness and respect at school. "If you aren't nice to other people, it's a sign of bullying," said Neva.
Along with planting and watering the garden at school, Neva, who's favorite subject is math, enjoys working on her garden at home with her family. She loves spending time with her family and friends, especially playing soccer and tetherball -- which she says she very good at.
And how does she stay kind and nice to people who are mean to her?
"I just throw the problem in the garbage," said Neva -- a technique they've been learning about at school.
