San Carlos Supermarket Robbery Suspect Arrested

SAN CARLOS, CA — A 25-year-old Pacifica woman has been arrested after police say she shoplifted from Lucky's Supermarket in San Carlos and used physical force to get past a store employee and flee with the items.

Police identified Cassandra Mudge as a suspect in the robbery, which happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. After finding Mudge several blocks from the store, police detained her for shoplifting and discovered drug paraphernalia, the San Mateo County Sheriff's office said.

Mudge was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail on felony robbery and probation violation charges, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
