Animal Abuse or Not

Dogs recorded barking from the Peninsula Pet Resort without a single break longer than 60 seconds over the entire night long.

This is a followup to a previous post about the relentless barking coming from the business on Industrial Road that occupies property 4 blocks away from our home. I have accused the owner Wanda Adams of neglecting and ultimately abusing animals by not allowing a period of quiet for them to rest at night. When this happens literally all night long and repeated nights in a row it is definitely neglect and amounts to abuse in my mind. Granted I want to be able to sleep instead of listening to the dogs suffer however the City of San Carlos claims that dogs don't bark, barking dogs don't make noise, and barking dogs making noise all night long doesn't amount to a public nuisance, neglect, or abuse. I of course disagree as we hear them all night long during the winter and spring vacation days and most weekend days in the summer. San Carlos has been unwilling to stop this obvious abuse and unwilling to take action to protect the animals housed there. I parked a vehicle in front of the business overnight and recorded the sounds that emitted from this business. There was barking as I was parking the vehicle in the early evening and it remains being heard on the tape throughout the night without a break of more than 60 seconds at a time. This is a complete cycle during the night of more than 12 hours where no dog or other animal or person had the opportunity to get a bit of sleep. It's no surprise considering the 177 "animal suite" operation is confined to a concrete block building with cheap acrylic skylights that do nothing to stop the noise of these abused animals from being heard suffering by entire neighborhoods. I realize that a certain mount of noise is inevitable but all Night long without a single break is abusive to the people nearby as much as it is the animals. If you have an opinion about the continued abuse of animals at the Peninsula Pet Resort Animal Boarding Business refer your comments to the San Carlos Planning & Building Departments as well as the City attorney who fails to find an issue with this continued abuse. Contact your favorite Council member and ask them why they continue to allow animals to be treated in this manner. There have been numerous complaints about noise since the business opened in 1965!!!!! Stop the ANIMAL & PEOPLE ABUSE IN SAN CARLOS in 2018.
