Do You Live in the San Carlos Fire Hazard Zone?

The San Carlos Fire Department offers fire protection for the city, but with Cal Fire's San Mateo-Santa Cruz unit focused on the area just on the other side of 280, the two agencies do overlap at times.

Cal Fire has posted the map above, showing the most dangerous area to live in San Carlos — just east of Pulgas Ridge Open Space preserve and including the area surrounding Big Canyon Park.
