Holiday Pet Boarding Season is here. No Pets Slept last Night.

Peninsula Pet Resort doesn't care for your Pets after 7 PM.

Pet Resort ignores your Pets after 7PM
Pet Resort ignores your Pets after 7PM (Tim Gordon)

As of last night heard that Pet Boarding Season for the Holidays is already here. There are a number of boarding facilities that you pay to have your prized and beloved Pets taken care of while you enjoy your holiday. I live near one that advertises as a RESORT for your PET. I know they do a large amount of business over the Holiday season because we have our sleep interrupted by their Pets Barking on a nightly basis. Some nights it happens for half an hour to an hour a few times a night. Other nights THE NOISE DOESN'T STOP ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! The Peninsula Pet Resort doesn't have anyone to care for the Pets after 7PM!!! Considering how much they charge they certainly could afford it.

I realize you are trying to enjoy your time off of work but we have to put up with the results of the PET RESORTS inability to maintain your PETS comfort and ability to rest. The neighbors in our area have had to put up with this illegal noise since 1965. Wanda Adams the current owner of the Pet Resort has been ignoring our complaints since 1995. You might think that the City of San Carlos or any City Council member, Police officer, or City employee over the years has cared about your pets legal rights to a quality of care you might expect but they don't.

The City of San Carlos has failed to protect our rights in our neighborhood to enjoy our property without allowing a business to operate without being able to contain their product (Extreme Pet Noise) within their property lines.

Please reconsider using this local establishment and try one that can care for your pet in a manner that may give you peace of mind and provide a quality quiet space for them while they are being traumatized by your absence and need for a vacation.

We feel it is unfair that a business like The Peninsula Pet resort is allowed to illegally operate within the Cities boundaries without properly caring for the animals they get paid for.

At a time when we should be enjoying our quiet nights at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years we are forced to listen to your Pet CRY and BARK until you return to care for them.

While I visited the Resort I checked out the side yard where they allow some dogs to congregate. This limited open space smells very strongly of dog urine which isn't too surprising when you consider there is only astroturf to Pee on without soil to allow the urine to dissipate. This space is surrounded by concrete block walls that increases the noise of the barking as it echoes throughout the neighborhood.

The building housing these animals was allowed to be upgraded a few years ago without consideration to dampening the noise. They are allowed to have numerous cheap acrylic skylights that allow the noise to escape unimpeded. They made no attempt to have Wall and Ceiling coverings that dampen the noise. Not that keeping the noise inside does anything to help your animals well being.
