Man Wins $2M from San Mateo County Winning Scratchers Ticket

“A Bay Area man says he slept on top of his winning Scratchers ticket to safeguard it until he could cash in the $2 million prize,” reports an article by KRON4.

Gregory Naumann purchased the lucky ticket in Montara, in San Mateo County, on May 21.

“The following afternoon Naumann drove to the Lottery’s district office in South San Francisco to claim his fortune,” reported KRON, adding that he put it under the mattress in an envelope for safekeeping until he could claim the prize, his wife also made copies of the ticket just in case.

Naumann told KRON that he actually wins $100 playing the lottery quite often. His biggest winning to date will pay off his mortgage, other debts and then he’ll have to decide how to spend or save the rest.
