San Carlos Man Swipes Woman's Parking Spot, Hits Her, Police Say
The man pulled his car into the spot as she backed in, then hit her twice with his car when she got out to confront him, officials say.

SAN CARLOS, CA — A San Carlos man was arrested Wednesday evening after he pulled into a parking space that a woman was trying to back into and hit her twice with his car, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. The woman, in her 50s, got out of her car to confront 70-year-old Douglas Caraway and an argument ensued. He slowly drove toward her and hit her leg with his car, then hit her again when she got scared and started to back off, the Sheriff's Office said.
When she moved, he parked his car in the spot along the 500 block of El Camino Real, gave her his full name and birth date, and told her that if she called police, they could find him at the King Chuan Chinese Restaurant (1188 San Carlos Ave.), the Sheriff's Office said.
She called. And the police did.
