Take Transit To Maker Faire Bay Area At San Mateo Co Event Center
SamTrans' Routes ECR and Route 292 have bus stops near the event center.

From Caltrain: Crafters and tinkerers can rejoice as the 13th annual Maker Faire Bay Area returns to the San Mateo County Event Center. The event runs from Friday, May 18, through Sunday, May 20, and both SamTrans and Caltrain will provide multiple services to accommodate attendees.
This fun and educational event offers numerous exhibits, speakers, workshops and performances. Attendees can learn about 3D printing, sound design, robotics, baking, brain-computer interfaces and the Nintendo Labo, as well as marvel at steampunk creations and tesla coils.
The event center is within walking distance of the Hillsdale Caltrain Station. SamTrans’ Routes ECR and Route 292 have bus stops near the event center.

In addition, Maker Faire offers shuttle service from the Millbrae Transit Center. The shuttle will arrive on the east side of the center at Bus Bay 6, which will have an electronic sign reading “Maker Faire Shuttle”.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system: tickets aren’t sold onboard trains but can be purchased at ticket machines at the stations. To save time on the return trip, passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or utilize the Caltrain Mobile ticketing app. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.
