Wheeler Plaza Construction To Go On In Downtown San Carlos
The mixed-use project has been deemed the 'central component' to aiming to get the public to frequent downtown San Carlos.
SAN CARLOS, CA — The final phase of Wheeler Plaza construction begins this week, with an intended wrap up in time for the Art & Wine Faire on Oct. 12 and 13 in downtown San Carlos.
The Wheeler Plaza project is considered the Peninsula town's "central component" to the city's aim of getting the public to frequent the downtown section of town. The project will host commercial retail, condominiums as well as the public parking structure with 254 spaces as shown on this video.
Although the Wheeler Parking Garage will remain open during the construction with access on Walnut Street, motorists are advised to note grading and striping of the alleyway between the garage and Laurel Street businesses will take place on Thursday. The alley will be closed for at least five weeks, with the work moving from north to south.
