SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Some changes are coming to Metrolink for the holidays, including some great deals on ticket prices, the travel authority says.
A $10 Holiday Ticket is available for those who want to ride the rails on New Year's Day, Metrolink announced.
The ticket provides unlimited rides for travelers to get to their essential destinations on those days.

According to officials, the discounted fare is available through Metrolink's mobile app or a contactless Metrolink station ticket machine.
In response to the Tournament of Roses Parade's cancellation, Metrolink will not operate early morning trains on either the Antelope Valley Line or the San Bernardino Line as has been offered in previous years on New Year's Day.

Metrolink is offering the Sunday Schedule with service New Year's Day on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, 91/Perris Valley, and Orange County lines.
NOTE: No service will be offered on the Ventura County or Riverside lines on New Year's Day.
Metrolink will operate regularly scheduled service on New Year's Eve.
During non-blackout dates, the Rail 2 Rail program allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders along the Orange County and Ventura County line corridors to travel on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains within the station pairs at no additional charge.
The Rail 2 Rail program resumed on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
To help keep Metrolink staff members and riders safe and healthy, masks are required at stations and trains. And physical distancing should be practiced by staying at least 6 feet apart from each other.
