Gingerbread Village on Display at Reata Glen Retirement Community
San Juan Capistrano Retirement Community Residents and Team Members Build Large Gingerbread Village
A gingerbread village is now on display at Reata Glen senior living community in South Orange County.
More than 70 residents and team members were invited to build their own gingerbread houses to be on display during the Holiday Open House at the community. This was the first time the Gingerbread Village was built and it has brought a lot of holiday magic into the community.

- 88 gingerbread houses
- 300 pounds of candy
- 50 pounds of powdered sugar
Along the outside of the gingerbread village team members created an ice rink with a wide range of characters including Santa and his elves. A train can also be found chugging along throughout the entire display.
More than 450 residents, families and people from the Greater San Juan Capistrano community attended the Holiday Open House and enjoyed seeing the large display in person.
