Mega Millions Winning Ticket Bought In San Juan Capistrano

A San Juan Capistrano area store sold a winning ticket worth over $500K in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number in the latest drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery was sold at a supermarket in San Juan Capistrano and is worth $543,501, the California Lottery announced.

The ticket was sold at the Vons Market on the 32000 block of Camino Capistrano, the California Lottery Association said.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will grow to an estimated $140 million.

The numbers drawn Tuesday were 11, 22, 34, 44, 58 and the Mega number was 9. The estimated jackpot was $120 million.
The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.

The Mega Millions game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
