Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On 5 Freeway In San Juan Capistrano

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a crash Saturday morning on the San Diego (5) Freeway in San Juan Capistrano.

The crash occurred at 12:45 a.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway at Junipero Serra Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist apparently died at the scene. There's no word yet on the age or gender of the victim. The name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The CHP temporarily shut down the section of the 5 Freeway where the crash took place.

There's no information available regarding any other victims or vehicles involved in the crash.
