Powerball Jackpot Down To Measly $53 Million Wednesday

Will you still play? The Powerball Jackpot is expected to reach $53 million on Wednesday, Aug. 30.

After the big win from last week, there were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Saturday evening's drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery and the estimated jackpot for Wednesday's drawing is expected to grow to about $53 million.

There was no ticket sold with five numbers and missing the Powerball number. Such a ticket would have been worth almost $140,000.

The numbers drawn were 7, 15, 32, 38, 66 and the Powerball number was 15.

The estimated jackpot was $40 million.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
