San Juan Capistrano Man Shot, Suspect Sought
Sheriff's officials say the man was shot "...after struggling with ... a male suspect."

LAKE ELSINORE, CA – Sheriff's officials are looking for a suspect who shot a San Juan Capistrano man in Lake Elsinore over the weekend during an altercation, the agency reports.
According to sheriff's Sgt. Matt Donivan, the incident was reported around 11:12 p.m. Sunday in the 31700 block of Riverside Drive, near Lakeshore Drive. Officials received word of shots fired in the area, and went to investigate.
"Officers responded to the scene," Donivan said in a news release. "Upon arrival, they found a 23-year-old male and resident of San Juan Capistrano had been shot after struggling with an unidentified male suspect."

The injured man was treated by officers and medical personnel came to rush him off to a local hospital, he said. Hi injury was described as "a non-life threatening gunshot wound."

"This is an active investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Investigator Carranza at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station (951) 245-3300," Donivan said.
