"Watermark Kids" Benefits San Juan Kids: Thrive Fest Oct. 28
Come for an educational petting zoo, music, food trucks and more to raise funds to support San Juan Capistrano's Watermark For Kids.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — The Fountains at Sea Bluffs is sponsoring a Thrive Fest on October 28th to benefit Watermark for Kids. Event director Georgia Edmundson urges everyone to come out to San Juan Capistrano Historic Town Center Park and support a great cause while having fun with family and friends. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
The Fountains at Sea Bluffs’ Thrive Fest will offer an educational petting zoo featuring an armadillo, kinkajou, hedgehog, baby alligator, boa and ferret. There will be live music plus a variety of booths and food trucks selling corn on the cob, baked potatoes, carnitas and more. Kids can get their hair professionally cut for three dollars and face painted for two dollars.

A percentage of proceeds from sales of food, baked goods, jewelry, crafts, face painting, kids haircuts, succulents and raffle tickets at Thrive Fest will benefit Watermark for Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving local kids thrive.

In Orange County, Watermark for Kids and its supporters have fueled the dreams of Watermark Kids like Edwin, Hannah, Adriana and Max.
Watermark for Kids furnished Edwin a guitar and 24 weeks of guitar lessons in San Juan Capistrano to help him explore his passion for music;
Watermark for Kids helped Hannah take her voice training to the next level with eight weeks of private vocal lessons with Patricia Shanks Voice Studio in Mission Viejo;
Watermark for Kids helped Adriana attend “In the Kitchen with Kids,” a farm-to-fork cooking program at the San Juan Capistrano Boys & Girls Club and presented her a kid-size chef’s coat, new cookbooks, cupcake tins, a mixing bowl and assorted other tools of the trade;
Watermark for Kids helped Max attend a Mining and Crafting Camp offered by the City of Laguna Beach so he could enjoy some structured fun on summer break while his mom was at work.
Awards to local Watermark Kids like Edwin, Hannah, Adriana and Max do more than fulfill needs and fuel dreams, they instill such values as discipline, gratitude and service. Each Watermark Kid agrees to “pay forward” the act of kindness they receive from Watermark for Kids through mentor-ship. Some even return to share their gifts with their host community.
