On Thursday, October 19, 6 – 7:30 pm at the Westside New Leaf Community Market, Christina will lead an intimate and interactive discussion on heightening your pleasure from food. Santa Cruz foodies are invited to attend this free event by registering at www.newleaf.com/events. At the event, held in New Leaf’s community classroom, Christina will share the story of her life-long love affair with food, outline her personal lifestyle philosophy, and offer suggestions for making food choices to maximize sensory enjoyment.
She will guide discussion to help participants explore the reasons for their food choices and dining habits. Prompts will include: What are the foods you love most and why? How does the context—people, place, occasion—influence your food experience? How often do you prepare a meal, or a dish, with your own hands and how does that feel? What were your favorite, or most regretted, dining experiences?

Christina will also suggest ways to choose the most vibrant, seasonal ingredients that will increase one’s enjoyment of daily necessities. Throughout the discussion, samples of exciting flavors, compliments of New Leaf, will be shared.
