Flavor by Loews Brings the Best Local Food and Drinks Direct to Guests

Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel has launched Flavor by Loews, a new program enabling guests to sample the best food and beverages that LA has to offer without leaving the hotel. The Santa Monica hotel is one of the first of Loews resorts to rollout the program which is built on partnerships with local artisan food and beverage vendors ranging from bakers to ice cream makers. Flavors by Loews embraces local partnerships on a national scale, satisfying guests’ desires to truly immerse themselves in a destination.

El Machete Chilli Sauce

Based in Boyle Heights, El Machete is a Mexican-like hand crafted chili sauce made by owner Oscar Ochoa. Ochoa is the son of Mexican immigrants and is co-founder of El Machete Artist Collective, advocating for arts, education, culture and civic responsibility to improve life for LA’s low income communities. El Machete is featured in Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel’s signature “Locals Only” cocktail at the new BarBelle restaurant and in various dishes at their Ocean & Vine restaurant.

Juice Served Here

LA based Juice Served Here offers cold-pressed nutritionally packed juices sourced from local farmers. Founded by Alex Matthews and Greg Alterman, guests can enjoy Juice Served Here beverages during in-room dining, banquets and menus for both the Ocean & Vine and Barbelle menus. Additionally, new cold pressed cocktails featuring their juices have been added to Loews cocktail menus.

Black Market Gelato & Sorbet

Made with no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors, Black Market Gelato & Sorbet is the brainchild of owner and artisan gelato chef Zbynek Mlynarik. All Black Market gelatos and sorbets are gluten, soy and egg free. Guests at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel can enjoy them poolside at Beach Barn, including a special exclusive Caramel Banana gelato flavor.

Flavor by Loews will launch across the entire Loews brand by the end of 2017.
