Agenda: Special City Council Redevelopment Meeting

 

The Sonoma City Council meets tonight in a special session to finalize the transfer of housing assets from the Sonoma Community Development Agency.

Since redevelopment agencies will no longer provide the funding for these housing assets and programs, the city would have to provide for costs out of the general fund.

(Currently, the staff recommends declining to retain these assets and contracting out all city housing functions.)

The resolution would retain a clause allowing the decision to be revisited if the legislation changes by May 1, 2012.

Additionally, the council will look at an Enforceable Obligation Payment Schedule' for all the assets and bonds owned by the Sonoma Community Development Agency.

The council meets in the , 177 First Street West at 5:00 p.m.
