Sonoma Valley Teen Services (SVTS) is now taking registrations for “Employee 101,” classes designed to help young people become effective employees.
SVTS hopes that parents and guardians will encourage teens and young adults, ages 13-24, to take advantage of this valuable training. The classes have been developed by, and will be taught by, professionals from various industries. Space is limited; early registration is advised.
Set for Saturday, November 12 from 10:30 – noon, the first session covers use of time, customer service, work attire, conflict resolution, workplace ethics, paychecks and bank accounts, and other practical topics. This class is required for all participants in SVTS Skills for Life projects, but others are invited to take part. The class is offered at the No Name Café on the Sonoma Valley High School campus. Cost is $10; scholarships available.
