Big Rig Jack-Knifes On U.S. 101 In Santa Rosa

The crash was blocking the two left lanes Tuesday, delaying traffic for more than two hours.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A big rig jack-knifed Tuesday afternoon on southbound U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Rosa, leaving the two left lanes blocked, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident just south of the state Highway 12 connector was reported at about 2:17 p.m. and involved the semi and at least one passenger vehicle.

Following about two hours of traffic delays, the roadway was being reopened as of about 4:25 p.m., CHP reported.

On northbound U.S. 101, an accident that occurred at about 2:39 p.m. was reportedly blocking the second from left lane, south of Yolando Avenue in Santa Rosa, according to 511 SF Bay. That accident was also being cleared up as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

It was not clear whether anyone was injured in either of the incidents.
