Cars Stuck In Mud After Hwy 37 Crash Near Skaggs Island: CHP

The incident near the Sonoma/Napa County line involved at least three vehicles, according to reports from the CHP.

SONOMA VALLEY, CA — A multiple-vehicle crash Saturday morning on state Highway 37 near the Napa/Sonoma County line sent at least two cars off the roadway into muddy water, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol.

No injuries were immediately reported in the collision that happened at about 10:45 a.m. on eastbound SR-37/Sears Point Road just east of Skaggs Island Road near the San Pablo National Wildlife Reserve, according to the CHP.

A red Honda Civic reportedly landed 50 feet to the right of the roadway in a muddy ditch past Sonoma Creek, with a green Chevrolet pickup truck also stuck in mud.

A white Toyota Corolla was also somehow involved in the crash, according to reports from the CHP, which responded to the scene along with Sonoma County Fire.

As of 11:52 a.m., tow trucks were either already at the scene or were on their way to assist with getting the cars out of the mud.
