Coronavirus In Sonoma County: Personal Protective Equipment Donations Needed
The donations are needed to assist first responders, health care providers, and health care facilities responding to COVID-19.

Sonoma County is encouraging the public, businesses and organizations to donate new, unused personal protective equipment to assist first responders, health care providers, and health care facilities responding to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
“We are facing an unprecedented public health emergency, and the increasing demands of our health care system is contributing to shortages in personal protective supplies,” said Susan Gorin, Chair of the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. “Protecting and supporting the needs of our first responders and health care workers is critical to safeguarding the health of our community during this crisis. We are urging the community to make donations of personal protective gear so that we can preserve the health and vitality of our frontline responders.”
Any individual who can donate personal protective equipment can donate supplies to The Salvation Army. Corporate donations are being coordinated by the County Emergency Operations Center.
Individuals Donations
Donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army, located at 93 Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa, Monday – Friday from 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Equipment Needs:
- New unused N95 masks with or without the valve
- Unopened protective goggles in original packaging
- Unused nitrile gloves
- Unused original packaging hospital gowns
It is preferred that items donated are in bulk. In an effort to limit spread of infection, only healthy individuals should drop off donations. Individuals not feeling well or are exhibiting any symptoms to include fever, tiredness and dry cough, should stay home and call their doctor.
Corporate Donations
To donate personal protective equipment, please contact the County Emergency Operations Center by calling (707) 565-6038 or email EOCLOG9@sonoma-county.org to schedule donation pick-up.

- New unused N95 masks with or without the valve
- Unopened protective goggles in original packaging
- Unused original packaging hospital gowns
- Tyvek Coats and Body Suits
- Nitrile gloves
- Bleach
- Face shields
Social Distancing
Social Distancing is the practice of reducing close contact between people to slow the spread of infections or diseases. Social Distancing measures include limiting large groups of people coming together, closing buildings and cancelling events.
