Coronavirus: Sonoma County To Consider Property Tax Waivers
Sonoma County will consider written requests for a waiver of penalties for late payment of property taxes due to the coronavirus crisis.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Sonoma County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office said Friday it would consider written requests for a waiver of penalties for late payment of property taxes due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The second installment of the 2019-2020 annual secured property tax bill was due by Feb. 1, and it will be considered delinquent if not paid by April 10. The request for penalty waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Property owners who can make their tax payment are encouraged to do so.
A COVID-19-related penalty waiver form and information will be available after April 10 on the ACTTC website. More information is available at http://sonomacounty.ca.gov/Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector.
