Dense Fog Advisory Issued For Santa Rosa, North Bay

The advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than a quarter-mile, National Weather Service SF Bay Area officials said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A dense fog advisory is in effect for the Tuesday morning commute in Santa Rosa and other cities within the interior valleys of the North Bay and East Bay. The advisory, which lasts until 10 a.m. Tuesday, means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than a quarter-mile, according to the National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area.

"If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you," weather officials said in issuing the advisory at around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Cities within the advisory area are: Santa Rosa, South Santa Rosa, Napa, San Rafael, Petaluma, Novato, Rohnert Park, Concord, Antioch, Livermore, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Pittsburg and San Ramon.
