We asked Patch readers in more than 1,000 communities to tell us what their moms mean to them. Nearly 200 people responded, paying tribute not just to moms but sometimes to grandmas, sisters and daughters who deserve recognition for Mother’s Day 2021.

I don't know what motherhood was like but I know how much you've loved all 3 of us, loved Dad and raised with humor, and grace and wisdom. You have taught us how to be such happy women that take on the world with gusto. I may not know the love of being a Mother but the love of being your eldest daughter and BFF can hardly compare. Thank you SO for being My Mom.
