Memorial Planned For Sonoma Motorcyclist
The Harley-Davidson rider, political activist and Comcast engineer died after suffering critical injuries in a Solano County crash.

NORTH BAY, CA — A Sonoma man who was critically injured in a vehicle collision earlier this month in Solano County has died. Kevin Sullivan, 63, a political activist and Comcast engineer, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on state Highway 12 when the driver of a Chevrolet turned left from Red Top Road into the path of the motorcycle just outside Fairfield on Nov. 6, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Sullivan tried to avoid a collision but could not stop in time. The motorcycle struck the left rear of the Chevrolet, ejecting Sullivan from the motorcycle. He suffered major head and left leg injuries, CHP officials
said.
Sullivan died in a hospital at 6:10 p.m. on Nov. 12, according to the Solano County Sheriff's Office. In a GoFundMe post, his daughter Alanna Tsivislavsky said her father was going to work on his day off on Nov. 6 to help a friend.

Sonoma County activist Mary Moore said Sullivan, "like most activists who give away their time and energy, cared deeply about injustice in all its forms."

Sullivan "took the time to study and understand why injustices exist in a culture that values money and power over the needs of human beings," Moore said.
Sullivan was active in civil disobedience at the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant in San Luis Obispo in the late 1970s and the protests at the annual summer encampment at the Bohemian Grove in Monte Rio, Moore said.
Sullivan was still politically active and hosted the Expose Bohemian Grove website at the time of his death, Moore said.
"He had so many talents and shared them freely to make change for the greater good," Moore said.
A public memorial to celebrate Sullivan's life is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Murphy's Irish Pub in Sonoma. Donations to the Sullivan family's fund can me made at Gofundme.com/kevin-sullivan-medical-fund.
