Napa DUI Checkpoint Holiday Schedule Announced

Heading to Napa for a party? County DUI Coalition officers will be checking motorists for signs of drinking or other drug use.

NAPA-The Napa County DUI Coalition announces its winter schedule of DUI checkpoints that begin Friday night in American Canyon.

Napa police officers will be checking motorists at the following locations/times:

  • Fri, Dec 18th, DUI/DL CHECKPOINT 6 p.m. - 2 a.m., City of American Canyon
  • Sat, Dec 19th, DUI Saturation Patrols 6 p.m. - 2 a.m., City of Napa
  • Week of Dec 20th, Warrant/Probation Sweep. EMBARGOED. Details to be Announced
  • Sat, Dec 26nd DUI Saturation Patrols, 6 p.m. - 2 a.m., City of Napa
  • Fri, Jan 2nd DUI/DL CHECKPOINT, 6 p.m. - 2 a.m., City of Napa

  • Plan a safe way to get home before you attend the party. Alcohol impairs judgment, as well as reaction time. If you’re impaired you’re more likely to choose to drive drunk.
  • Designate a sober driver; take public transportation, a car service, or a call a sober friend of family member to get home.
  • Walking while impaired can be just as dangerous as drunk driving. Designate a sober friend to walk you home.
  • If you see someone you think is about to drive while impaired, take their keys and help them get home safely.
