Peep Arrest Made and City Power Pole Damaged

Peep Arrest

A Sonoma man was arrested at his home and booked on July 25 on a warrant for a 2011 peeping incident, according to police. He was later released on a bail bond pending a court appearance. Police spokesman Sgt. Spencer Crum said investigators do not believe he is the suspect in this year’s peeping cases. There have been at least three reported cases in Sonoma this year: two on First Street West and one on Robinson.

A 78-year-old Ukiah man was cited and released after allegedly striking a city power pole with his vehicle on July 21. The incident happened at 9:19 pm. in front of City Hall. The man was driving a silver Buick Regal, according to police. Sgt. Crum said the man was intoxicated and attempting to leave the scene when police arrived. The driver was released into the care of his passenger.

A 26-year-old Sonoma man was booked into Sonoma County Jail after allegedly attempting to open storage areas and vehicles in the 100 block of Chiquita Camino on July 26. He was on active probation and was believed to be under the influence of a controlled substance, according to police.
