Son Slashes Mother's Throat During Argument, Police Say

Police are searching for Charles Farmer, 37, of Boyes Hot Springs

Police are searching for a Sonoma Valley resident who allegedly slashed his mother's throat during an argument.

Police say Charles Famer, 37, of Boyes Hot Springs, was arguing with his mother at the Acacia Grove Mobile Home Park at 7:15 p.m. Police said Farmer armed himself with a large knife and slashed his mother's throat.

The mother walked to a nearby bus stop and called for help. She was transported to Memorial Hospital and treated for her injury. Police went to the mobile home park but were unable to located Farmer, who remains at large.

Farmer has not been located as of this time but is being sought by deputies. If anyone knows of his whereabouts please contact Sheriff's Dispatch at 707-565-2121.
