KSVY's Cat Smith is getting the answers to all of your kids' questions!
Cat Smith is like many other parents in the Valley. Stuck at home with the kids! In attempting to help with their home schooling, she quickly discovered she was not smarter than a 5th grader. Worse than that, 2020 came with some very unique and historical moments.

Sonoma Kids Ask the Experts was born! It is a weekly show on 91.3 FM KSVY Sonoma every Saturday at noon. Each week hosts a different Sonoma Valley expert with a topic unique to them. After the show airs, the video replay is added to YouTube and easy to find by typing #SonomaKidsAsk in the search bar.

“If I have this many questions coming at me daily, other parents must be inundated too!” says Smith. “Why don’t I get everyone’s questions all at once by asking an expert?!”
Past guests include:

- Educational Advocate Celeste Winders on Black Lives Matter
Upcoming guests include Sarah Gibson from Sonoma Fire & Rescue and LGBTQ+ expert, Gary Saperstein. These first 5 guests have covered some heavy topics, but Smith promises some fun topics too including a discussion on cheese making with Sheana Davis.
The best way to participate while we wait for schools to begin lessons again is to have parents join the Facebook Group at www.Facebook.com/SonomaKidsAsk. Read through the topics and help your children (any age!) submit questions for the experts. Kids can also make special requests at the page also. Don’t use Facebook? No problem!
