Sonoma Man Identified As Bicyclist Fatally Struck On Hwy 12
Three elderly men riding bicycles have died in collisions with vehicles in Sonoma County since Oct. 23.
SONOMA VALLEY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified the bicyclist who died in a collision with a vehicle in unincorporated Sonoma County on Wednesday as David Davison, 79, of Sonoma.
Davison, who was not wearing a helmet, and a 74-year-old Sonoma man driving a 1997 Ford Mustang were traveling west on state Highway 12 east of Madrone Road near Agua Caliente around 9:15 a.m., CHP Officer Marc Renspurger said.
Davison was ejected and fell onto the road when his bicycle collided with the right side of the Mustang, Renspurger said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the collision, Renspurger said.
