The holiday season got off to a bright start when over 100,000 lights were turned on at the annual Lighting of the Sonoma Plaza in Sonoma Saturday evening, adorning trees and the iconic City Hall.
Families and friends packed the square for the ceremonies with a stage set up in front of city hall. Hot chocolate and hot cider was provided by local sponsors and the Transcendence Theater Company provided a musical performance. The Honey Dippers band provided some lively music in the amphitheater.
