Sonoma Salon Employees Grieve Co-Worker Killed In Hwy 12 Crash
BREAKING: The 27-year-old worked at a Sonoma salon. The crash involving a suspected DUI driver left her daughter, 7, with major injuries.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A woman who was killed in a head-on collision on state Highway 12 in unincorporated Sonoma County on Tuesday worked as a stylist at the Crush Beauty Bar in Sonoma, according to the business's Facebook page.
Estefania Soto, 27, of Boyes Hot Springs, was driving a 2012 Nissan Sentra east on Highway 12 west of Agua Caliente Road around 7:45 a.m. when a westbound Ford truck crossed double yellow lines and struck the Nissan, according to the California Highway Patrol. Soto died at the scene.
The 7-year-old girl riding in the Nissan was Soto's daughter Kaliyah, according to the Crush Beauty Bar's Facebook page.

The girl suffered major injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to the California Highway Patrol. She was then transferred to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland.
The Ford driver, Jose Lopez-Perez, 25, also suffered major injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. CHP officers have arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence, CHP Officer Marc Renspurger said.

"To say we all loved Stef is an understatement," employees at Crush Beauty Bar said on the Facebook post.
"We all NEEDED Stef, we NEEDED her bubbly laugh, contagious smile, vibrant energy, creative talent and her loving demeanor to make our salon and lives whole. Stef, you will be missed by SO many and we are all here praying for Kaliyah. Your Crush family and all of Sonoma has suffered a devastating loss. We love you and we miss you," the salon's post states.
The salon, which included photos of Soto and her daughter on Facebook, is closed today to allow employees to grieve.
