Workers To Protest 'State Of Sonoma County' Wednesday Morning
Union Organizers say pay for workers has stalled, claiming they take home no more than they did in 2007. They want the County to address it.

SANTA ROSA - Union organizers are expecting hundreds of Sonoma County employees to show up Wednesday morning to protest what they call economic inequality in the county.
Representatives of SEIU Local 1021 says they want Sonoma County officials to address the issue immediately.
As county offficials gather for the January 27 State of the County report, the union says pay for workers has stalled, claiming they take home no more than they did nearly ten years ago. They point to a rebound in County revenues during those years, and point out automatic increases in pay and benefit packages for Supervisors which they claim are four times that of the average Sonoma worker.
