You Said It: Murphy's Is (Once Again) the Place for St. Paddy's Day
Get in the Irish spirit at Murphy's with music, food and, well, a lot of beer

What is St. Patrick's day, really? Though the holiday comes with a 'celebrate the Irish' name-tag, step into most bars on St. Paddy's day and you're in for one big frat party: jello shots, green beer, and pinching abound.
Luckily for Sonoma we have 's celebration, which combines all the best of the belligery – music, packed crowds and more than 50 kegs of beer – with some home-grown Irish spirit (and an AMAZING buffet of traditional Irish grub, or Nepalese food from if you're not down with brown bread and potatoes.)

So, it's not much of a surprise that Murphy's won our Readers' Choice contest for the best place to spend St. Paddy's day.
You even love Murphy's the rest of the year. weighed in on , saying "Every time I've been to the pub, I've had a wonderful time...The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have plenty of drink choices to please everyone."

Though Murphy's wins the grand prize, fans of other festivities spoke out. called the "the place to have St. Paddy's day dinner...Just $25 gets you a corned beef dinner with all the trimmings, music by BackTrax, Irish Dancers and more."
