1 Wounded In Suisun City Shooting; Police Search For Suspect
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, police said. Two cars were seized as evidence as SCPD works to identify the shooter.

SUISUN CITY, CA — One person was injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Suisun City, police said. The shooting happened at a gas station in the 800 block of Sunset Avenue and was reported at 6:50 p.m. by at least one 911 caller, according to a Suisun City Police Department statement posted to Facebook.
Officers responded to 7-Eleven to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition Wednesday night, police said.
"The officers quickly interviewed witnesses and identified a suspect vehicle," police said. "Within minutes officers located the suspect vehicle abandoned nearby."

As of late Wednesday night, no arrest had been made in the shooting.
Evidence gathered in the investigation included the suspect's car and another vehicle, as well as surveillance footage from throughout the area, police said.

Anyone who was at the gas station around the time of the shooting but did not speak with police, or anyone with information pertinent to the case, is encouraged to call Suisun City PD at 707-421-7373.
Suisun City PD noted that when the shooting happened, patrol staff was at a minimum so additional officers were called in from home to assist with the investigation. Deputies with the Solano County Sheriff's Office also responded, as did a K-9 unit from the Fairfield Police Department.
"We would like to thank our personnel for responding quickly to the scene," SCPD said. "We would also like to thank the Solano County Sheriff's Office for providing deputies to respond to calls for service, while the crime scene investigation was ongoing. Lastly, we would like to extend our gratitude to Fairfield, CA Police Department for assisting us with a K9 for our search."
